FAQ

Questions, answered

The things new paddlers ask us most. More in our full FAQ.

You don’t have to be physically fit to begin — many members started having never played any sport. Our Season Program builds fitness gradually and safely in three phases, and is designed for all levels.

Just a bottle of water. Everything else is supplied — paddle, life jacket, boat and laughter.

ACDC welcomes paddlers from age 9 up, with members ranging up to 65+. Racing has divisions for all ages, so there’s no limit to what you can achieve regardless of age.

Season fees are confirmed via our online registration portal. All memberships include DBSA & AusDBF registration, insurance, and equipment. Or try it first, free, with a Dragon Pass.

Absolutely. Plenty of our paddlers enjoy the fitness and social side without racing competitively — as long as the coaches know your intent.

Ready to grab a paddle?

Just bring a water bottle and your sense of adventure — we supply the paddle, the life jacket, the boat and the laughter.
